As AusPAnet celebrates its 1st birthday we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support and interest. AusPAnet has exceeded all expectations and attracted nearly 2,000 members in its first year.

Walk to Work Day

Walk to Work Day is being held on Friday 5 October 2007. Find out how to get involved this year.  
The Big Fat Conspiracy: How to protect your family's health
  This book debates whether weight is really a problem and provides a realistic assessment of how serious the issues of overweight and obesity have become in Australia.
LATEST RESEARCH FINDINGS: Updated American physical activity recommendations for older adults 

The 1995 American physical activity recommendations for older adults have been updated by the American Heart Association and the American College of Sports Medicine.  
LATEST RESEARCH FINDINGS: Promoting walking to school

This is the first active commuting to school intervention which has used a quasi-experimental design.

LATEST RESEARCH FINDINGS: Are three or five physical activity sessions a week better for health?
 

This study looked at whether being active three times a week was as beneficial to health compared to being active five times a week.
